MASTER Clarence Rodrigues has trained in the martial arts industry for 40 years and is a 6th Dan Black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
Clarence is a practitioner of traditional Tae Kwon Do, and in the past owned one of the largest Rhee martial arts training centres in Western Sydney during the 1980’s and early 1990's.
After taking a break to raise his family, Clarence returned to training and instructing. At 63 years of age, he still competes on the ISKA Australia tournament circuit, and is the number 1 ranked competitor in many of his divisions. In 2014 and 2015 he received the “Over 18 years Competitor of the Year” award from ISKA Australia Hall of Fame, winning this prestigious award above hundreds of fellow competitors. In 2016 Clarence was also inducted into the ISKA Hall of Fame as the Senior Instructor of the Year, a highly prestigious award in which hundreds of other martial arts instructors were nominated for this. At the ISKA World Cup in 2017, Clarence won a world title in Sword Combat (18yrs and over). In November 2017 Clarence also won an Australian title and Grand Championship title for Sword Combat (18yrs and over).
In 2019 Clarence won an Australian title and Grand Championship title for Point Sparring (35yrs and over).
He is famous for his “OLD SCHOOL” training methods, practical self defence techniques, and his genuine passion for martial arts and his students. Clarence holds a current First Aid Certificate and Working With Children Clearance.
Brayden Rodrigues has trained for over 20 years in traditional Tae Kwon Do, and is currently a 4th Dan Black Belt in this art.
He is a certified Level 1 Extreme Martial Arts instructor, and one of the best bo instructors in Australia. Brayden has worked as a traditional TKD instructor for over 8 years. In addition, he is also a black belt in traditional and extreme bo forms, and the pioneer of double bo forms in Australia.
For the past six years, Brayden has ranked in the top 5 competitors in Australia in his age group for traditional forms, traditional weapons, extreme weapons, showmanship and sword combat events on the ISKA Australia tournament circuit and was awarded No.1 rated competitor in Australia in Extreme Weapons and No.2 in Australia in Traditional Weapons. At the ISKA World Cup in 2017, Brayden won the title of "World Champion in Extreme Weapons". In November 2017 and November 2019 Brayden won an ISKA Australian title and Grand Championship title in Traditional forms. In 2022 Brayden was inducted into the ISKA Hall of Fame, receiving the coveted Sportsman of the Year award.
Brayden is our Preschool, Junior traditional TKD, Extreme forms and Bo instructor. In addition he is a qualified Early Childhood educator, with over 7 years experience in this field. Brayden holds a current First Aid Certificate and Working With Children Clearance.
